The thoughts of men are not the thoughts of God. During his earthly journey, the Lord Jesus came to seek lost souls, those who do not know that salvation comes through Him. Many people seek to please God; the answer is to come to the Lord Jesus Christ (Mark 15:7); it is when we recognize that God had already sacrificed Jesus Christ since the fall of man (Genesis 3:21) that God and his angels will celebrate.
The multitudes of funerals in all their forms that we see are nothing other than the expression of an uncertainty of a glorious future (hello, entry into paradise) after death.

Those who call themselves pure do not need to be saved. However, we make efforts to have paradise. We run left and right to have God's favor. We have all inherited sin and the death that is its consequence as well as other evils. So we are all sick and we must be treated; but by whom? By the Lord Jesus Christ for a sick soul (without redemption) has no place in the kingdom of God.
