This earthly life is strewn with happiness and pain. Both men and women constantly run here and there in search of daily sustenance. We work to get the best out of life but we always find ourselves dissatisfied. And it's not surprising because even the richest person in the world always feels an emptiness within him despite everything. Since human beings are mortal, is there no reason to think about life after death? Of course, material goods cannot give us life in the face of death, no offense! Doctors treat but healing comes from the will of God; people traveled to join famous doctors and died there. Riches do not give children, some have tried in vain. It is for these reasons that the Bible says that man can give everything for his life, just to survive, don't we say that as long as there is life there is hope. Job 2:1  Now the sons of God came one day to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan also came among them to present himself before the LORD. 2  The LORD said unto Satan, Whence art thou? And Satan said to the LORD, To walk throughout the earth and walk in it. 3  The LORD said to Satan, Have you noticed my servant Job? There is no one like him on earth; he is an honest and upright man, fearing God, and turning away from evil. He remains firm in his integrity, and you incite me to lose him without cause. 4  And Satan said unto the LORD, Skin for skin; EVERYTHING A MAN HAS, HE GIVES FOR HIS LIFE. 5  But stretch out your hand and touch his bones and his flesh, and I am sure he will curse you to your face. 6  The LORD said unto Satan, Behold, I deliver him unto thee: ONLY SPARE HIS LIFE (Thou hast no power to put him to death). 7  And Satan departed from the presence of the LORD. Then he struck Job with a malignant ulcer, from the sole of his foot to the crown of his head.

Jesus questions our attitude in this life which is ephemeral. We must entrust our lives to Him (walk with Him), He who is the rock so that when we leave this earth, that we can be with Him in heaven. We must always remember that we are mortal; Mark 8:34  Then he called the crowd with his disciples, and said to them, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and let me follow. 35  For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and for the good news will save it. 36  AND OF WHAT PURPOSE IS IT TO A MAN TO WIN ALL THE WORLD, IF HE LOSE HIS SOUL? 37  WHAT WOULD A MAN GIVE IN EXCHANGE FOR HIS SOUL?38  For whoever is ashamed of me and of my words in the midst of this adulterous and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed, when he comes in the glory of his Father, with the holy angels. 

MATTHEW 7:24  WHEREFORE, WHOEVER HEARS THESE WORDS OF ME AND DOES THEM, WILL BE LIKE A PRUDENT MAN WHO BUILT HIS HOUSE ON THE ROCK (JESUS). 25  THE RAIN FELL, THE STREAMS CAME, THE WINDS BLOWED AND WENT AGAINST THIS HOUSE (THE PROBLEMS OF THIS LIFE): IT DID NOT FALL, BECAUSE IT WAS FOUNDED ON THE ROCK. 26  But whoever hears these words of mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand (trusting in anything else but not in God). 27  The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat that house: it fell, and great was its ruin. 28  After Jesus had finished these discourses, the crowd were amazed at his doctrine; 29  for he taught with authority (words full of revelation and life), and not as their scribes.

There are men who take themselves to be God in front of their fellow men because they have the means; they open shops, pay rent, bills, food etc to keep others with them. And beware of the day you want or you will leave them to follow Jesus, it is the beginning of misery. They will take everything back, that is not from God. Are we going to fear men to miss paradise? Jesus invites us to fear only God who can even throw him into hell; Matthew 10:27  What I say to you in darkness, speak in broad daylight; and what is whispered in your ear, preach from the housetops. 28  FEAR NOT THOSE WHO KILL THE BODY AND CANNOT KILL THE SOUL (SPIRIT); RATHER FEAR HIM WHO CAN MAKE THE SOUL AND BODY PERISH IN GEHENNA (ETERNAL FIRE).
